Plant Science Consulting is an Adelaide based company specialising in Herbicide Resistance Testing. The company was started by Dr Peter Boutsalis who has been involved in Herbicide Resistance Testing for over 15 years, both internationally and in Australia.
He now offers a range of tests including herbicide resistance testing of Seeds and Whole Plants (weeds growing in the paddock). This latter test was discovered and developed by Dr P. Boutsalis whilst working for Syngenta in Switzerland in 1996. He now works as an independent agricultural consultant.

Herbicide resistance plant tests (quick-test): Herbicide resistance testing of mainly grass weeds that have survived a herbicide application in the paddock (Syngenta Quick-Test) for herbicide resistance
Viability of weed seeds
Crop seed quality testing: germination, vigour, seed weight and seed purity testing
Testing of crop seeds for herbicide resistance traits, eg Clearfield, Triazine tolerance.
Testing of experimental herbicides for chemical companies for weed efficacy, crop selectivity and effectiveness on herbicide resistance weed biotypes.
